Everything started in 1997 with a BA (Design) from Perth. I started my professional design career with Productivity and Standards Board of Singapore. We worked with the Singapore based SMEs and other international clients. 3 years with PSB, our team acquired a patent and a Red Dot awards, among other lesser achievements. In 2000 I was invited to lead the local design team of Patria Design which was based in Mountain View, CA. Directed by Marc Van de Loo, I was engaged in projects with the big boys from the Silicon Valley. The experience of working in a West Coast style environment allowed me to formulate and strengthen my believes in the values of good design.From 2003 – 2006, I was invited to set up the product design group in OSIM. Within 3 years I led a team of 3 junior design staffs to achieve 3 Red Dot awards, 1 IF China awards, and numerous patent in the area of healthcare products. My experience with a multi-national corporate was a prelude to my venture in China. Since 2006, Alain and I have set up design studios in Shanghai and Kunming, serving clients from China, Taiwan and Japan. Our clients have achieved market success with our designs in China, Japan and international market.In 2020, TITO+ was created from with its representation in 3 countries, 4 locations, with mature product design and development process (ZSM) that caters not only to creative output but minimises corporate risk. TITO+ also has developed its own branding tools (6i) and has since successfully branded two local airlines, among other local corporations.
