Combat2Careers is led by Cornell University's Yang-Tan Institute with SUNY Oswego as a partner. The Veteran Project Coordinator will assist veteran job-seekers in creating their CE 'Discovery Profile' that serves as a map and timetable for attainment of preferred jobs, internships, or apprenticeships. Throughout the process the VPC serves as a veteran peer mentor, assisting C2C participants before, during, and after acquiring a job to provide disability and employment-related assistance and support. The VCP has the important function of assisting the college-designated C2C Veteran & Military Services Coordinator and Cornell team in creating on and off-campus veteran disability, academic and employment services and supports, conducting presentations on the project, disseminating information, and assisting in developing employer partnerships. A primary component of the VCP's responsibilities is to coordinate a comprehensive and collaborative campus-wide effort to maximize the recruitment, retention, and graduation of veterans. Specific activities include:• Provide input into veteran students' online and in-person curricula• Assist with input on female veteran-specific criteria and needs• Help with implementing outreach and marketing efforts for C2C project• Share input on finalizing veteran student curricula• Conduct veteran employment discussion sessions and other Veteran roundtable discussions• Assist C2C project staff to develop/implement summer intensive workshops• Provide assistance in data management of Student Veteran demographics• Assist in identifying area employers in the development/framework for internships• Lead in securing internships and job placements of Veterans to meet project goals• Arrange and participate follow-up meetings with college leadership in preparation of expanded distance learning throughout the college/university systems• Provide input into outreach for project replication throughout college/university systems

National Science Foundation Student Research Assistant (NSF-1063014). Syracuse University & SUNY Upstate Medical Center, in Syracuse, New York. The purpose of this program is to examine the physiological, clinical, cognitive, and familial factors associated with various trauma outcomes in U.S. Veterans diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Manages use of school quotas, training support and other training resources as allocated to the units. Prepares and forwards requests for training for all unit members ensuring applicants are eligible to attend the school requested and all prerequisites have been met.
