Looking back, accounting was never on the radar as something I ever wanted to do. I decided to take an accounting class my sophomore year of high school and have not looked back since. In high school, I participated in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA). I placed first at the state level in accounting events in both FBLA and DECA and was given the opportunity to travel across the United States to compete in nationals for both. These experiences have given me amazing leadership skills and have shaped me into the person I am today.Outside of work and school, I spend my time hiking and volunteering at the local humane society and pregnancy center. I am also an active member of my sorority, Gamma Phi Beta, Accounting Club, Women in Business, and I am part of the Honors Program at the University of North Dakota.
