Kendall Mitchell, Anishinaabe (Batchewana First Nation), crane clan, is the Executive Director of Nakenhdan - Knowing Your Truth and is a Part-Time Faculty Member at Algoma University in the Community Economic and Social Development Department. She has 5+ years of experience in Community Development through her role as Project Coordinator with the Institute for Peoples, Territories, and Pedagogies for Peace where she worked with Women’s, Indigenous, Afrodiasporic +, rural and environmental organizations in Canada, Colombia, and Bolivia, and as Empowerment Officer with Turtle Concepts where she worked with Indigenous communities across Ontario. Kendall completed her undergraduate degree at Algoma University where she double majored in Community Economic and Social Development and Political Science.
