I am a Secondary English Education major striving to meet my academic and professional goals with emotional intelligence, concrete diligence, and above all, citizenship. There are good teachers and bad teachers, and it is my goal to establish myself as an educator worth knowing. A current full-time student balancing a business job and veterinary position, I am learning bits of life information that I hope to impart in my future classroom. I actively engage in collaborative communication, adaptability, business relationships, and technological fluency. These are all defining characteristics of my professionalism that I aspire to cultivate in future classrooms. As a previous camp counselor and current childcare assistant, my passion to teach has grown exponentially. Leading large groups of children and planning out detailed lessons has become a crucial part of who I am, as well as the experiences I am learning. It is my goal to hear the voices of students and to make education interesting, yet personally valuable. Skills and interests: Writing, connecting with young audiences, using online platforms, leadership, local citizenship, lesson preparation, and youth counseling.
