As a Design/Build Manager, I am responsible for every aspect of commercial real estate development projects from design and entitlement to construction. Specific experiences include:• Project manager with responsibility for various projects including a 396-unit multifamily development and 310,000 SF build-to-suit distribution facility with 7,000 SF office fit-out• Rapidly increased responsibility level by thriving within ARCO’s unique business structure and culture• Managed front-end entitlement with local governing bodies to ensure overall project schedule was maintained• Led and managed team of 6 designers, on each project respectively, to provide high-value, low-cost designs• Negotiated 20 contracts and scopes of work totaling over $9.3M with subcontractors to maintain schedule, cost, and quality• Managed client relationships and all project-specific communications• Conducted all aspects of construction management including subcontractor change orders, owner change orders, coordination with ownership/township, submittal review, schedule tracking, design changes, and RFIs• Tracked costs and profit throughout projects to generate internal reports on revenue and profit

As a technical intern for Caterpillar, Inc. I conducted market research and made recommendations for revising the CAT telehandler product line, generated a functional specification for a new telehandler product, analyzed competitor pricing, created a script for a new telehandler promotional video, and led an intern group that won the CAT Case Competition by developing an aftermarket services growth strategy.

As Interfraternity Council (IFC) President I was accountable for annual budget of approximately $80,000, represented NCSU IFC in all matters involving University employees and officials, worked with University partners to advocate for policy change to benefit the IFC and the NC State campus, and planned and led bi-weekly meetings with IFC chapter presidents and weekly meetings of 8-member Executive Board.

As a Founding Father and President of the Chi Chapter of the Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity I planned and led weekly meetings of the 11 member executive council and 80 man chapter, maintained oversight of an annual budget of over $80,000, and represented the fraternity in all matters involving our national headquarters, NC State Fraternity and Sorority Life, and chapter alumni. While in office, I was able to help secure chapter housing by working with NC State Fraternity and Sorority Life and our chapter Alumni Board.
