The title on my first business card was “the local’s voice”. Marketing by understanding and speaking with and not to customers has been my approach in business. With the increasing effectiveness of customer marketing and social media approaches with a heavy dose of unique content, these areas of business have become my focus and passion. With 11 years of experience working in marketing and sales capacities at The Canyons Ski Resort, Backcountry.com, Base Camp Communications, I started a social media company called Convotion Social Media which I ran for two years. In 2008 I co-founded the start up Camofire.com, which has become the leading flash sales website in the hunting industry. In 2012 we similarly launched BlackOvis.com which is a full inline retail website focusing on premium hunting product. This business is based in West Valley City, UT. I continue to focus my day to day efforts developing and growing this business as the CEO. In 2015 I co-founded Crispi US, the exclusive North American distributor for Crispi hunting and outdoor footwear. Crispi has become the premier hunting boot in North America over the past 7 years. This business is based in Lindon, UT and is lead by my friend and business partner Mark Strickland who acts as CEO.
