I was 18 years old, fresh out of high school, not even one semester into Bible college when my pastor sat me down and asked me if I would like to be one of the student directors for our church. Scared, wide eyed, and eager, already knowing that I have been called into a lifetime of vocational ministry, I immediately accepted. As I stepped into this new role, I did not have to journey far to realize that I had a lot to learn about being a ministry worker and dedicated my years as a student pastor at Momentum to soaking up as much knowledge and experience as I could. Over the years I learned an incredible amount. Most notably, first, that my Gospel impact is at its greatest when I am teaching the Word of God and leading others, and secondly, that the organizational and administrative side of ministry is just as important as the spiritual formation side of ministry. In learning those I focused attention towards developing my preaching, leading, and system making. As I began to grow in these skills I found that the ministry also began to grow too; during my time at Momentum as the student director, the ministry grew by over 150% with over 70% of the students being baptized! Not only that, but I continue to find myself in leadership positions even outside of the church such as at Coffee Corner as one of the trainers where I am responsible for training all of the employees for their roles within the company, creating a friendly, warm, and productive team environment, and facilitating interviews and collaborating with other management to evaluate the suitability of the prospective employees to maintain and increase the strength of our team. Another wonderful environment that lead me to progress in my teaching, leading, and system making. As my adventure unfolds, I am looking for my next ministry position in hopes to continue to learn and lead people to their God and Savior.
