I am a leader, advocate, and a forever lover of learning.Here are seven things you should know about me...1) I take pride in my ways of advocating for those who may not have the ability for advocating for themselves. I am always looking for opportunities to educate others on differentiated communication, and how intelligence is a subjective matter. Intelligence looks different for each individual.2) I have extensive experience in public speaking, and I enjoy it. I was awarded a 'Self-Expression' scholarship in 2018 for my speech on women, and embracing who you are as a woman.3) I have experience with different behavior management systems. I enjoy working with Applied Behavior Analysis, Functional Behavioral Analysis, and other means to evaluate behaviors. I have an advanced skillset when it comes to identifying target behaviors, their antecedents, and the appropriate means of reinforcement. 4) I pride myself in the experience that I have with individuals on the spectrum. I have vast knowledge on people who have Autism, and I have experience working with nonverbal Autism. I have worked with assistive technology, and possess a great deal of knowledge when it comes to using alternative forms of communication with or without technology.5) I have taken on multiple leadership experiences. I presided the 'Students of North Carolina Association of Educators,' and became head of the fundraising board, as well as taking the position of treasurer in my initiate class in 'Phi Sigma Pi,' which is a national honors fraternity. 6) I possess many needed skills for teaching exceptional children. I have completed many classes that teach American Sign Language, and I have attended events for the deaf in order to emerge myself in the community. I also have training in microsoft software, and with computer coding. 7) Although I should not advertise this, I would genuinely do this job for free. It is my passion, and the one thing that I want to do for the rest of my life.
