OCRFA is the oldest and largest charity in the U.S. funding ovarian cancer research to better diagnose, treat, and ultimately cure ovarian cancer.As an advocacy and policy intern at the OCRF headquarters in DC, I coordinated the planning and execution of the organization’s annual Congressional advocacy event by scheduling over 120 individual meetings, compiling research, and creating event materials. During this time, I established and sustained Congressional relationships by promoting ovarian cancer advocacy.

In this position, I researched and compiled prospective donor contact, employment, and financial information, providing an organized database for company executives. Furthermore, I assisted with the organization of an investor conference by assembling annual summary reports and coordinating with keynote speakers and venue representatives. Lastly, I created documents to summarize conference information for absent members, ensuring that all investors were up-to-date.

Boise, Idaho Area

As a campaign intern, I identified and researched over 150 Idahoan donors to Democrat candidates in local, state, and national elections in order to expand the donor base for Idaho state government moderate majority initiative. This included data analysis, public speaking, event planning, and organizing campaign strategy. I also assisted in the planning and completion of the campaign launch event, inviting and aiding potential donors.

At One Stone, I identified and organized local experts into a committee, advising on the founding of a STEM/community service based high school. I was responsible for conducting, compiling, and presenting extensive research on topics such as Design Thinking and the status of Idaho’s education system. My research was ultimately utilized in the founding of the nation's first tuition-free private high school, now highly regarded and in its second year of operation.
