Hi there! I am a sophomore studying Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Southern California as a Presidential Scholar. Born in the Bay Area, I am a California girl at heart although I have more recently called North Carolina home. Finding the intersections between fields intrigues me, even leading me to complete a research project focusing on machine learning methods used in brain computer interfaces under the mentorship of a professor at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Currently, I am looking to gain more industry experience through a technical internship. My passion for working towards race and gender equity brought me to join organizations such as USC's Asian Pacific American Student Assembly, where I work to foster a sense of community within the APIDA student population, and AthenaHacks, a hackathon dedicated to supporting women and gender minorities. In my down time, you can find me curled up with a novel or out on a boba run!Feel free to reach out at ktwin@usc.edu!
