Held signature authority for liability in all contracts and agreements.• Coordinated activities surrounding two efforts by AES to sell the facility. The second effort resulted in a successful sale of the asset to the PPA Off-Taker for $85MM plus outstanding debt on nearly $217MM.• Managed and operated Two Siemens 501G natural gas fired combustion turbines and one Siemens 235 MW steam turbine, HRSGs, ZLD, and BOP while ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency. • Led negotiation of a multimillion dollar multiyear Term Warranty with Siemens Energy that resulted in substantial cost savings and addressed critical equipment reliability issues while securing major upgrades; without an increase in the projected in operating expenses.• Managed and developed a staff of 27 people who interdependently handled areas of the business including EH&S, NERC, BD, performance, reliability, purchasing, finance, AP/AR and HR that performed efficiently and effectively.• Led negotiation of the initial CBA with the IBEW, who represented the hourly employees; the resulting contract was considered the ‘template’ for future contracts. Resulted in significant cost savings in annual payroll and was recognized by legal counsel as being exceptionally written and negotiated.• Active member of Siemens W501G Steering Committee and regular presenter at semiannual user conference.

Assigned full accountability for utility and facility services to the KCC tissue manufacturing facility. Primarily concerned with the safe operation and maintenance of a 55 MW gross, 650 KPPH culm fired CFB facility. • Utility services included mill (in-house) electrical load of 42 MW, 250 KPPH extraction process steam, 14,000 cfm of compressed air, and up to 15 million gallons of clarified water for utilization in the tissue manufacturing facility. • Managed 4 managers and 50 unionized hourly employees. • Established a comprehensive “5 year business plan” for the utilities division that captured the critical improvement programs and ensured the plant efficiency and reliability over the next 5 years.

Managed Maintenance and Operation Departments for a 42 MW net, culm fired CFB facility. Developed, reviewed, presented, and managed the O&M budget. • Achieved highest capacity factor in plant’s history in 2003 (98.14%), which included a 9-day scheduled outage, historic low OT rates, improved start-up procedures, and optimized shift staffing. • Led process improvements and participated in several projects that addressed reliability improvements including start-up burner upgrades, mechanical dust collector conversion to AR / Ceramic components.• Led cultural improvements including initiating supervisor ownership through assigning areas of responsibility, OSHA VPP recertification, and computerized LO/TO.• Prepared operations to continue without a power purchase agreement in the deregulated power market.

Managed all activities of a 90 MW pulverized coal / alternate fuel facility with steam customer demands in excess of 300 KPPH (Solvay Paperboard). Accountable for P&L, O&M staff, project management, permitting, safety, steam production and electrical sales. • Instituted “self-directed” work-team system and coordinated 2 major expansions of the process steam supply network as well as major plant modifications and improvements including the successful installation of a 14 MW backpressure T/G set. • Successfully permitted the facility to fire alternate fuel comprised of “pre-consumer non-recyclable” material. Coordinated the transition from a PSA into a deregulated power market (NYISO).

Plant Engineer 1998 – 1999Coordinated engineering activities of an 80 MW net culm fired CFB facility. • Assumed direct supervision of the Plant Water Technician and Engineering Technician. Managed outage planning and scheduling, performance testing, thermography, zero discharge, water treatment, plant documentation, and management of special projects.• Assigned as the Transition Coordinator (summer 1998) to facilitate the transition of the East Syracuse Generating Station {80 MW CCCT (2- LM6000)} facility from US Generating Company to Orion Power that resulted in a smooth transition of Orion’s 1st acquisition. Production Manager 1991 – 1997Managed 25 Plant Technicians and acted as back up to the Plant Manager. Tracked and reported plant production information. Intimately involved with the start-up and commissioning of the facility, which included initial hiring of department personnel, development of operating procedures, initial training, system check-outs / start-ups, and working closely with turnkey contractor (Bechtel).
