on a DP3 pipelay and heavy lift vessel. I have been privileged to have been involved in the building and commissioning of the Seven Borealis during the past 18 months. This vessel had the largest offshore mast crane on a mono-hulled ship at the time and could lay pipe in J lay and S lay configuration. During the build, sea trials and mob-up I have witnessed the permit to work systems of shipyards in Singapore and Holland and also implementing our own permit to work system for the vessel. Now that the ship is almost ready to sail for work on charters in West Africa I have been working in my normal role as a second engineer, maintaining and running all shipboard systems, power generation, fire fighting, sanitary, refrigeration and many more.

Third engineer on DP 2 Diving support vessel in offshore Brazil and 3rd engineer on board a DP 2 well testing and stimulation vessel in Mexico. Responsible for all aspects of running a safe engine room watch and experienced in all types of pumps, pumping systems, main power plants, auxillaries, deck equipment (A-frames, cranes and winches) Use Planned preventative maintenance systems daily. The diving support vessel was very proud of it's safety record and had 3000 days free of LTI.

Through cadetship with Tidewater Marine and since qualification, I have sailed on various types of offshore vessels mainly large anchor handling and supply. I have gained experience in a variety of propulsion plant such as direct drive and high voltage diesel electric and have worked with a wide variety of engine and thruster manufacturers. In charge of all deck hydraulic equipment.Outside of normal operations offshore with the above jobs I have worked on dry dock, refit and new build commisioning.
