KENNETH A. DOYLE, FASAE, CAEKen is an association executive with more than four decades of experience leading mission-driven organizations. Currently, he is partnering with McKinley Advisors as a member of the firm’s talent network, a cohort of association executives, subject matter experts and specialty service providers who share McKinley’s dedication to accelerating associations’ positive impact on the world. As Senior Counsel, Doyle will partner with the McKinley Advisors team on strategy, governance, and organizational development engagements that help clients solve their greatest challenges and make impactful change in their organizations. Doyle most recently served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA), an association that is advancing the transition to a clean energy economy. As COO, Doyle greatly expanded programs, oversaw acquisitions and streamlined all operational aspects of the organization. During his tenure, SEPA doubled its staff, increased dues income by 100%, and grew reserves by 150%. Ken is also affiliated with Doyle Association Consulting, LLC which offers consulting services to the association community. The firm specializes in providing strategic planning, customized C suite advice and counsel, meeting and event planning assistance and analysis of an organization’s business processes designed to uncover inefficiencies. Ken served as Executive Vice President of the Society of Independent Gasoline Marketers of America (SIGMA) and President of The Fuel Foundation. In his 34 years of service to SIGMA as its CEO, Ken made the association a top-notch organization by focusing on conventions, networking, and education. He transformed SIGMA into a professionally managed organization that has given the members’ industry a venue where matters of concern can be discussed in open and sophisticated ways.Ken earned his Certified Association Executive designation from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). In 1988, ASAE honored Ken by naming him a society Fellow. Ken is active in ASAE and interestingly; his father, brother, wife, daughter and daughter-in-law are/were all association professionals.Until 2023, Ken served as Chairman of the Board and a founding member of the National Association Executive’s Forum, a national association with over 600 members formed in 2000 to provide its members with a standardized trust offering retirement and deferred compensation products. Current assets under the retirement trust exceed $100 million with over 2,000 employee participants.
