Kendra N. Addleman | 30 | Denver, CO | BA in PsychologyI grew up in Port Angeles, WA, completed my bachelors degree in Bellingham, WA and then moved to Grand Junction, CO in 2019. I am relocating to Denver, CO in June. I love to travel, go to concerts, and enjoy new experiences. Currently, I am working in a transitional living program for young adults experiencing domestic violence and/or sexual assault. My position, as a youth advocate, is to support my clients in finding stability, building trust and positive connections, navigate community resources, and harbor resilience and develop self-efficacy while they get back on their feet.I have learned so much over the course of the past year and this position has given me the biggest opportunity to grow. I have acted as much as an advocate as a case manager to the youth I serve. I am rather new to the field, but I have already demonstrated the ability to build rapport, ability to uphold boundaries while remaining trauma informed, and aim to help the client create a client-centered plan to achieve their goals and help them navigate the necessary community resources to accomplish their goals.
