Vp Dei/ Leadership, Experience, And Development (Lead)

DEI is a critical function of any organization and is often not considered a priority. AMA New Jersey decided to make it a priority, and as a non-profit, volunteer organization, we added a VP role to our Board. I helped to redefine the role and incorporated volunteer recruitment into the DEI function so that incoming volunteers understand our commitment to DEI and the fact that it is a part of our culture. In my role, I helped to create documentation for best practices in each function of our team through a DEI lens. The team also curated DEI resources and speakers, and provided guidance around DEI issues.

President

As President of AMA New Jersey, I led a team of 30+ passionate volunteers to a common goal of providing connection and community to our members. Throughout my term, my focus was to ensure volunteer engagement, satisfaction, and inclusion because it was important to me that my team was supported and heard. I worked with my team to create workflows, processes, and standard operating procedures for our five committees to encourage stronger collaboration. We also maintained and built on our existing community to be a place where members can find education, connection, and like-minded individuals. Another focus that year was incorporating diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives into the chapter and building the foundation for the first DEI committee for the AMA New Jersey Chapter. That year, we achieved record-breaking numbers in volunteer retention, financial health, and programming. As a result, our chapter was awarded the Special Merit in Leadership out of 70 chapters in the AMA.

This was one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences I have had at RBS and I learned valuable lifelong lessons. Marketing Intern

Secaucus, Nj

I was fortunate enough to intern in Panasonic North America's B2B Marketing department for 2 summers (2009 and 2010). During my first summer, I worked with the VP of marketing to develop stronger communication between the marketing and sales teams. I analyzed the company's existing resources and processes and created recommendations for solutions. One solution was a weekly marketing newsletter, emailed to the sales team to summarize the available marketing materials for them to use on sales trips. This led to a large improvement in overall communication and transparency. My second summer was spent researching the benefits of incorporating social media into the marketing strategy for a B2B company. I also studied the reseller programs of the company and created recommendations for the consolidation and streamlining of the programs.
