My oil and gas career began in 2011 when I started working for Apache Corporation as a Production Engineering Tech. I worked three years with various engineers assigned to the Andrews and Ector County areas. In 2014, I was invited to join the newly created Completions Team. I worked as a Completions Engineering Tech to support the Engineers in designing and executing completion procedures for Southern New Mexico and West Texas wells. I had the opportunity to be a team member in the completion of over 900 wells, mostly horizontal. After the market downturn, I was given the opportunity to return to productions. I graduated with my Petroleum Engineering Degree and transitioned to my first Engineering Role. My Engineering Experience began when I was a Production Engineer in the Ira/Big Spring, Whiteface, and TXL North and South areas. I have learned to research and design workovers for producers and injectors, determine their economic value, and follow though and monitor performance once projects are approved. I had a special focus in waterflooding. My most recent job was an Engineer, Productions II at Ring Energy. This smaller company was nimble, and I was able to experience fast paced job planning to execution. I was responsible for producing and distributing a Daily Production Report that compared current production numbers to previous day, month, and quarterly numbers. I learned to design fiberglass rod strings capable of pumping in the tangent of horizontal San Andres wells. As with previous engineering positions, I continued to plan, estimate, manage and review workover projects. My first degree is from Texas A&M University in Wildlife and Fisheries that allowed me to teach any science to High School students in the Houston Metroplex and in Midland Texas. Although I loved my students, I longed for more technical opportunities. I continue to teach and coach through our church and volunteer work.
