About Kendra Cunningham
As a Safety Equipment Technician, my role is to ensure that safety equipment is working properly as it may save someone’s life someday. My current job requires my skills to assist with inventories, reporting, policy writing, and direct communication with the refinery clients and contractors. My responsibilities include data basing, tracking, monitoring, reporting, and maintaining Plant Protection, Safety, Health, and Environmental equipment. I am currently TWIC certified. I find that even outside of the work place I look at and do a visual check on safety equipment. It is a habit now and I am okay with that. Safety is a big deal and if I can help out someone else out by noticing a problem, I’ve done my job. Safety is important! Safety is a lifestyle that I am proud to be living.Outside of work, I enjoy volunteering and donating throughout the local community. I run in local 5K’s to help raise money for different fundraisers. I donate my time to help out various county schools sport programs. I volunteer to help out with Project Santa Claus (put on by the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Department) when my schedule permits.I also have a passion for cooking. I love to try new recipes, flavor combinations, and expand my knowledge of food. Growing up food was always very important, especially around holidays. And it was required that we were at the dinner table every night. I think also seeing the way that my mother showered love and affection on us was cooking, and you saw what food was able to do. It was something that I enjoyed. The idea of starting with raw ingredients and putting them together and making something, and then sometimes it tasted great and sometimes not. And you kind of work on why.
Listed skills include Microsoft Office, Inspection, Industrial Safety, Data Entry, and 35 others.
