Hi there! I’m Kendra, a passionate Quality Assurance Analyst with a love for pharmaceutical improvements and service to others. My journey in the Pharmaceutical space began in undergrad when I thought I wanted to be a chemist. My path in science was redirected after I was introduced to the director of the Pharmaceutical Science program (BRITE) at North Carolina Central University during my second semester, and it’s been an exciting adventure ever since. With over 12 years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of working on a publication for research pertaining to Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL) receptor regulated by high glucose in human hepatocyte-like C3A cells. As well as research on Alzheimer's disease (AD) and the correlation between AD patients and hypothyroid patients. My career pathway extended as I dug into the production and manufacturing aspects of biopharma. The desire to learn how to distribute quality medicinal products turned in a role in Quality Assurance at a production repackaging lab. I thrive on tackling challenges and finding creative solutions, and I genuinely enjoy collaborating with others to bring ideas to life.Faith plays a significant role in my life, guiding my values and inspiring me to serve others through my work. This principle shapes my approach to both my professional and personal endeavors. I've completed over 400 hours of community service notably working with NC-ACTS!, in a volunteer program for persons of service. Habitat for humanity, building family houses for the underserved communities. As well as Bull city Youth Build, Aspiring Eagles, and W.I.L.L, as a mentor, to the youth in hopes of changing the world through STEM careers and service. I believe that being able to be of service to others is not only an honorable duty, it is our obligation as people of the gospel to spread kindness, create community, and build safe spaces for growth and unity to occur.Outside of work, I’m all about creating, performing, and spreading art.
