Wrote and edited various materials, including executive-level correspondence, reports, briefing documents, and talking points from multiple data sources, ensuring proper grammar; consistency, completeness, and pertinence of content; and appropriate style, format, and tone. Interpreted, evaluated, and summarized proposed and existing legislation, regulations, reports, and issue papers that affect ASPR. Coordinated and provided extensive editorial support for "Medical Planning and Response Manual for a Nuclear Detonation Incident: A Practical Guide," comprised of 14 scientific manuscripts. Led implementation of the Plain Writing Act of 2010 for ASPR, including coordinating trainings and developing web content. Recommended and interpreted editorial policies, procedures, and guidelines; ensured compliance among staff; and updated style guides as needed. Created clear and comprehensive standard operating procedures for the Legislation Division, to include detailed processes for congressional hearings, briefings, and proposals. Coordinated all aspects of Congressional hearing preparation for ASPR witnesses, including drafting written and oral testimony. Developed legislative project reports, including bill analyses, comparisons, and impact statements, as well as talking points and PowerPoint presentations.
