Currently I am completing my Masters of Science in occupational therapy at the University of Western Ontario. To date I have graduated from the University of Guelph Honours Bachelors of Science in Human Kinetics and from the certificate program at Mohawk College in Autism and Behavioural Sciences, both with distinction. Throughout my time at the University of Guelph I have been extensively involved as a member of the Varsity Field Hockey team. Through this involvement, I have been able to gain other invaluable training through the Gryphon Leadership Academy and the Student Athlete Mentorship Program. The Gryphon Leadership academy is a three year program that creates a network of leadership support for Varsity athletes, in this course we learn techniques on how to lead by example, how to be a vocal leader, and how to critically evaluate yourself as a leader through a leadership 360 evaluation. I have been able to apply these leadership skills everyday in my life, and spark passion in those around me! I am also involved in the Student Athlete Mentorship program which is an academic resource for Varsity Athletes. I am passionate about helping others reach their full potential, and I thoroughly enjoy my time I spend mentoring other athletes, navigating through the University community in areas including, but not limited to, time-management, program selection, speaking with professors etc.Additionally, I am an active member of the Guelph community, volunteering to pursue my passion of helping people reach their fullest potential in a variety of settings related to education, health care, and rehabilitation. I am always looking for continued growth, and welcome feedback as I truly believe that is the best way to learn. I take pride in collaborating with others to come up with the best possible solutions, as well as a flexible and creative approach to problem solving.
