This project exists within the greater Living with Water (LWW) initiative which aims to create a regional framework for integrated coastal flood management in Lower Mainland, BC. The purpose of this component of LWW is to provide a base of knowledge that describes values-based approaches to coastal flood adaptation.Lived and landscape values, and adaptation knowledge from Musqueam, Tsleil-Waututh, and Squamish Nations provide the core foundation for the work. As a researcher, it is my role to engage with and challenge settler adaptation and research ontologies in order to work towards a decolonized research framework that challenges relations of power and path dependency in adaptation policy. The values-based approach will create a foundation of knowledge that supports coastal flood adaptation strategies for the region through identification of community values and how they are spatialized.

Soothsayr Communications provides design and communications consultation. We focus on systems and relationships to generate perspectives and strategies rooted in social and ecological health. Services include design research, site analysis, landscape design, communications consultation, graphic design, copy-writing, and data synthesis and visualization.

Conducting research on opportunities to integrate regenerative and low-maintenance planting strategies in green rainwater infrastructure (GRI) implementation in right-of-ways in the City of Vancouver. This study will help the City catalogue low maintenance planting strategies for various right-of-way typologies in support of the blue-green system corridors.

Management of day to day farm operations to assist in the growth of this start-up business while developing, designing, and implementing plans for future farm infrastructure such as irrigation systems, rainwater collection, hail mitigation, and workshop spaces.

Handling all potential partnerships, program sponsorship, advertising and fundraising for Calgary's only community driven radio station. In this role I also shaped the visual brand of the station and created strategies for outreach and marketing development. Here, I gained skills in strategic planning, Adobe Creative Suite, management, and handling accounts.

This contract kickstarted a project focussed on creating a 30 year anniversary book called 'We Make Radio: 30-Something years of CJSW 90.9 FM' that commemorates CJSW's history on the FM dial. Upon completion of the contract term, I was hired full-time as the Community Development Coordinator which allowed me to complete the book and take on new responsibilities at the station.
