During Summer 2010, I was a part of the Company Improvement Team, which at the time was focused on increasing the assembly line output and efficiency. Another student and I were charged with the restocking of small parts on the assembly line. Input into efficient travel from the storage location to the line was taken under consideration and applied to the full time employee's route when the summer ended. Another task involved identifying and categorizing parts, as well as the route to be used for an assembly line in another building of the company. Increasing efficiency and decreasing overstocked parts were a main focus for our team throughout the company during this time.
