In my styling work for fashion companies, such as Free People, Chaser, Trunk Ltd., Marge, and Wildfox, and big box retailers such as Sam’s Club and Walmart, I use my extensive knowledge of the fashion industry, and my strong styling point-of-view and collaborate with the company’s creative, merchandising, marketing, and sales teams, to conceptualize, direct, and execute inspirational and relevant imagery of the product, while making sure it’s consistent with the overall brand image. I play a role in not only the creative photography assets for these companies, but I also execute all brand styling needs for them as well such as lookbooks, locations, campaigns, and social proofs. Additionally, I provide tailored fashion services to private clients, from personal shopping and styling, to restructuring an entire wardrobe and reorganizing a closet. The enthusiasm I have for the services I provide my clients lies not only in my satisfaction at helping each client achieve their ultimate wardrobe, but also at helping my them uncover and “nail” their true sense of style, one that is timeless and unique only to them.

I had the unique opportunity of being a part of the passionate team who made INTERMIX history by opening it’s most successful new store to date (exceeding company plan by 45.2%.) I contributed to the tremendous success of this store’s launch by hosting it’s grand opening and bringing the clientele that I had established for over a decade from when I had my own boutiques, over to INTERMIX. Besides selling and creating an amazing client experience, I also was heavily involved in visual merchandising, bi-monthly floor set-ups and inventory analysis.

Created, opened and operated as owner and chief merchant two groundbreaking and iconic women's clothing boutiques and an eCommerce site under the CANVAS name in Marin County, CA. Contemporary merchandise categories included denim, knits, dresses, outerwear, shoes, and accessories. As head buyer, I was the first merchant to bring a mix of New York edge and California cool to the Bay Area, hunting down budding brands like Rag & Bone, Nili Lotan, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Alexander Wang, A.L.C, Barbara Bui, Helmut Lang, See By Chloe, L'Agence, Nicholas K, Golden Goose, Mara Hoffman, IRO, Equipment, and A.L.C.

I held three different, unique positions during my eight years at DKNY.As a Merchandiser, I worked with the design and sales teams to create, assort, coordinate, and style the five seasonal product sample lines: DKNY, DKNY Jeans, DKNY Active, DKNY Pure, and Donna Karan Collection. I created and updated line sheets for the five divisions, which are the tools used to sell the collections to the buyers. I was extensively involved in all product development and sourcing. As a Retail Analyst in DKNY’s International division, I analyzed product and global market trends and worked with factories and accounts to ensure that goods that were over-or under-produced were distributed to accounts on schedule. By improving efficiencies, my work resulted in increased sales at both wholesale and retail. Eager to see the world, I accepted an International Sales Account Executive role and experienced up-close and personal the world of high fashion in New York, Paris, London, and Milan. My responsibilities included projecting sales goals; launching and selling the five DKNY clothing divisions to existing accounts; scouting out and opening new accounts; communicating product line and price changes to accounts; and consistently collaborating in-house with merchandising, production, and design teams.

I was responsible for the daily operations on the floor, most of which was catering to a high-end clientele. Customer service and reaching sales goals were top priorities. I also recruited, interviewed, hired, and mentored all floor employees. I ensured that loss prevention and proper cash control procedures were followed. I maintained the floor’s visual appearance and merchandising standards learning from the visual guru Simon Doonan. The most exciting part of my management role was having the unique opportunity to work side-by-side with then new emerging talent, such as Isaac Mizrahi, Michael Kors, and Donna Karan.
