I facilitate the OUR Walmart Hispano online presence on Facebook. I started the public OUR Walmart Hispano page in October and since then have secured over 1,800 "likes." This page is a space where Spanish speaking Walmart workers can engage with each other about their working conditions. I also utilize this space to keep the Spanish speaking community informed of policy changes led by OUR Walmart and other labor organizations.

Central Florida

As a summer intern for OUR Walmart and Columbia University, I served under the leadership of the labor organizers in the central Florida region. I organized meetings with workers and planned direct actions in support of the campaign for earned sick time for Walmart employees. In addition, I worked with a sociology professor from Columbia University and collected oral histories from Walmart workers. The team of 19 interns across the U.S complied over one hundred interviews and we are in the process of writing a book from the interviews that highlight the stories of Walmart workers.
