EYP’s mission is to develop and empower young people with dynamic skills. We've built a model that fosters self-determination, cooperative critical thinking, and humanitarianism through civic engagement. We believe that our youth, as the next generation of leaders, change makers, and workforce innovators, must be given the necessary knowledge, skill, and resources to propel themselves into pathways that are true to their own goals, values, and brand.

- Fundraise to scale and sustain city’s key education and workforce initiatives- Build partnerships across multiple sectors to build cadre of resources, allies, and ecosystems- Redesign and rescope education and workforce program to highlight city-wide impact- Measure impact to inform narratives around programmatic efficacy - Build partnerships across multiple sectors (nonprofit, tech, corporate, sports, finance) to bring resources directly to community

- Manage and lead full time staff and a growing region serving 140+ youth ages 16-24 annually- Provide high-level oversight of South Bay social enterprise operations across 4 venues – Levi’s Stadium, Avaya Stadium, SAP Center, Excite Park- Maintain and cultivate business development opportunities, as well as relationships with employer partners - Support and manage program implementation for all youth participants- Design and execute three-year growth strategy and raise annual contributed revenue budget for regional site sustainability- Develop and support local advisory board, network of Juma champions, and build a sustainable local funding base- Cultivate and steward relationships with network of CBOs, companies, and education partners to support recruitment and placement of youth

- Founding team member- Scale and expand BookNook footprint to help sales team hit ARR of $400k+ in 15 months- Lead weekly partnership team meetings and establish strategies for outreach and campaigns - Develop and finalize partnerships with LEAs, CMOs, and community organizations- Build and maintain sales pipeline - Conduct product sales presentations in person and via webinar- Build a network of influencers and adopters to create opportunities for future partnerships

- Regional lead for Silicon Valley in absence of full-time ED; Additional responsibilities related to support with fundraising, donor stewardship, and FY17 annual planning- Manage the successful implementation of all programmatic operations at 26 sites - Manage and mentor program team consisting of 6 full-time staff and 29 AmeriCorps members- Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for staff- Promote quality assurance: Ensure enrollment of over 1,300 students by April, and exceed benchmarks for student success as measured by assessment data- Manage and analyze data across region to monitor for trends and needs for differentiation- Build and cultivate relationships with current and potential school/district partners to finalize expansion plans for FY17, including negotiating fee for service, MOUs, and logistics- Cultivate and steward relationships with community volunteers and external partners.- Set cultural tone for region with team goals, metrics for success, and design of 3 year strategic plan

- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of six Reading Centers (in Redwood City, East Palo Alto and Mountain View) and program operations for program serving students in grades K-5- Achieve program fidelity and success across multiple micro-regions to ensure that Reading Partners programs at each school are highly impactful as per our assessment data - Daily use of Salesforce in order to ensure volunteer enrollment, satisfaction and support to ensure maximum student progress, and expand the number of students and communities served - Serve as lead contact/liaison to school principals and district staff, ensuring strong partnerships at each program site- Mentor and supervise young professionals (AmeriCorps members) in the successful implementation of the RP Program, including student assessment, differentiated instruction and tutor coaching- Create, lead and facilitate trainings for AmeriCorps members, key stakeholders and community members

- Led after-school curriculum and courses for students in Evergreen Elementary School District- Taught a variety of core curriculum and enrichment classes for grades 3-6 (language arts, debate, public speaking, test prep, journalism) - Lead teacher and head of curriculum development for English literature, composition, debate, and test prep courses for grades 7-12

- Creator/Director of the START program, which has successfully provided students with academic guidance, mentoring, enrichment to help them succeed on their path to college- Developed and provided intensive skill building workshops to students in grades 6-12- Led community outreach/engagement efforts to market and promote program- Organized and hosted Parent Info Nights to discuss college preparation, college options and individualized programs for students- Maintained strong customer relationships with parents, students and potential clients

- Tutored and advised students (career interests, college admissions, personal statements)- Created individualized lesson plans for students struggling in specific subject areas

- Created original articles and content on various products and industries - Built and maintained websites by adding new and relevant content for consumer

- As a contributor, I wrote and published articles pertaining to politics, technology and current events - Published original video content (Vlogs) to accompany articles- Articles published in local media including "A Saturday ‘yaycation’: music, food and drinks in downtown Campbell", published on the front page of the Campbell Express
