Blaze The Show is a high energy non-stop street dance and break dance show, directed by Anthony Van Laast (Mamma Mia!, Sister Act, Batman Live).Choreographed by some of the brightest and hottest names in the street dance scene, like Mike Song, Kenny Wormald, Lyle Beniga, Ryan Chappell, Chris Baldock and Kendra Horsburgh and featuring stunning set designs by Es Devlin (set designer for Kanye West, Mika, Take That, Pet Shop Boys and the Lady Gaga Monster Ball tour) we combine the world’s greatest theatre and music talents with the best talent in the dance scene.Our dancers are specialised in the field of breaking, tapping, popping, locking and hip hop and have performed with artists like Michael Jackson, Madonna, Rihanna, Sean Paul and Mohombi.After a successful premiere in London, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, we have continued our worldwide tours in theatres in Berlin, Italy, Germany, Paris, Bangkok, Russia and Australia and have sold more than 250,000 tickets worldwide.As a dancer, I took direction, followed instructions and worked in a multicultural team. Attention to detail is vital in this high pressured environment and adaptability to timetables and heavy schedules were necessary.Promoted to choreographer, it was my responsibility to make sure performers were confident in the material of the show. Each country the show toured to, the company would introduce new performers that I auditioned, taught and led. It was vital that I established a good company culture and managed the relationship between the dancers and the head office.I was further promoted to resident director. I was responsible for casting the show, re-designing the show, creating a professional and productive team culture and solving and conflicts that arose.
