Kendra Hicks majored in fashion merchandising at Liberty University. She graduated with her bachelor's and two minors in business and textiles in May of 2022. Kendra began her retail career in early 2021 as a part-time cashier at Mardel, and she currently works there as a full-time department head and bookkeeper. In addition to her office responsibilities, Kendra assists in product merchandising across the Mardel sales floor on a regular basis. She has completed one fashion internship in the bridal industry, and also worked as a bridal stylist, monitoring current bridal looks and creating merchandising displays showcasing such trends. Kendra has also worked for 3 years as an office assistant, and carries the administrative skills that she learned in this role into her retail career, today. She has served for two years as an officer of the Liberty University’s Fashion Design and Merchandising Association and has served two semesters as the club's president. Additionally, Kendra worked as the Designer Coordinator of the Liberty University 15th Annual FACS Fashion Show (2020 - 2021) and as the fashion show director for the 16th annual production in 2022. Kendra enjoys anything related to fashion, fashion merchandising, and retail. Her in-depth experience in commercial retail and in the bridal industry are two of the reasons that she is working to become a fashion buyer in the coming years. Customer service and visual merchandising are two of Kendra's most loved areas of work, however, she is eager and excited to continue learning about the retail industry from all angles of her career.
