As an Outreach Specialist at the YMCA of Greater Toronto, I empower and support youth who face barriers or challenges in their lives, such as homelessness, poverty, or mental health issues. I provide them with resources, referrals, and advocacy, as well as facilitate workshops, events, and programs that promote positive youth development and community safety.I have a strong educational background in the community and justice services field, with an Honours Bachelor of Community Safety degree and a Community and Justice Services diploma from Sheridan College. I also have multiple certifications, such as Crisis Prevention and Intervention, Harm Reduction, and Safe Talk. I completed a virtual internship in Emergency Management, where I learned about disaster preparedness and response. I have developed skills in communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and leadership, and I am always eager to learn new skills and explore new opportunities to make a positive impact in my community.
