We decided to create this podcast because we love reading books by women. It’s as simple as that. In the past excellent literature remained male-dominated, a boys club for those only in the know. But it’s past time that female authors reclaim recognition. Our casual, theme-centered podcast aims to give you a book club feel. Each month we’ll focus on a different theme, such as women of color, graphic novels, or Southern literature. In addition to co-hosting, I work as the production side of the team, planning, recording, editing the podcast, and managing the podcast feed/distribution.

- Coordinated the different departments--editorial, art, design, page layout, etc--in making educational content- Communicated with outsourced vendors and in-house divisions of BJU Press, such as the printing division and and distance learning divisions- Organized and plans Gantt charts and schedules

- Interviewed subjects and wrote articles and blurbs published for BJU Magazine- Wrote copy for marketing brochures- Performed writing and editing tasks for e-mail blasts

- Checked books in and out of the library system- Assisted patrons in finding books in the library stacks- Gave directions and answered patrons’ questions regarding books and research- Shelved books according to the dewey decimal system

- Researched a wide range of topics including math, literature, history, and world studies- Wrote educational film scripts design for the homeschool market
