Through my employment with Chester County Department of Emergency Services (DES), I have had the honor of working with other department employees in South Eastern PA Task Force exercises as well as participated as a group facilitator for Task Force grant writing sessions. I also had the opportunity to update and compile the policy and procedures manual for the fire training division of Chester County DES as well as staff the Emergency Operations Center during Presidential Natural Disaster Declarations. I have experience working both in a supervisor role as a lead instructor and in a subordinate role as an assistant instructor through the variety of courses taught. My experiences in the fire services have given me the opportunity to put the skills I have learned in FEMA NIMS courses into practice through serving as several positions within the Incident Management System at incidents. I have extensive experience in oral and written communication as well as working and coordinating with other groups through all of my work experiences. I am a very organized and planning person. I plan long term as well as short term and have the ability to think outside the box.
