• Researched Junior Mining companies for market trends and partnering potentials.• Designed and implemented a project financial evaluation system using Monte Carlo analysis methods to assess Net Present Values for potential exploration acquisitions. • Studied and determined the company’s strategic course in the mining industry as part of a task team. • Managed budget control for $8 million yearly budget for exploration support activities (offices, camps, etc.) in South and Central America , the Caribbean, Africa, and Eurasia.• Designed and managed a monitoring system to control the overall exploration budgets of approximately $22 million.• While in the field, identified and implemented the methods and strategies used to obtain the optimum administration support for exploration activities. • Supervised a 50,000 ton per month carbon in pulp gold plant with 80 workers and managed and operated gold smelting and refining. Improved production through adjustments to the mill and feed. Implemented process mapping for a more detailed analysis of systems and applied resulting re-design that greatly improved plant efficiency. Developed and ran gold accounting system for the plant which accounted for gold throughput at various stages of processing. This system later identified various inner company gold thefts.• Led an acquisition team responsible for the supply of small local mill tailings feed to the plant. Negotiated daily with local mills and mines for various large ore feed contracts valuing over $1,000,000 monthly.
