Born in Texas but raised in Las Vegas, NV and Orlando, FL, I'm now living in Dallas, TX. I love stories of all kinds, be they from books, movies, video games, or conversations. I like traveling, problem solving, cats, sunsets, brainstorming, tea, woodworking, and antique hunting just to name a few random things.I bleed black and gold after attending the University of Central Florida from 2009 to 2014. Starting as an art major, I switched to digital media with an emphasis in video game design. I was very interested in animation for movies but decided UCF's digital track was a better fit for me. I learned programming as well as Photoshop, video editing, and Flash for the first time, among other programs. In my later classes, I had one or two professors mention that it's uncommon for someone to be good at both art and programming and maybe I should consider becoming a technical artist. I'm still thinking about it.I started my first software job at Carter Solutions while still in school. I am very grateful for the things I learned there and discovered I learn much more efficiently in the real world than by doing "Hello world" exercises in class. 2020 marked 7 years as a C#/.NET developer. I like to have my hands in front end, back end, web design, and database work.At UCF, I mostly stuck with band kids as I did in high school. I play flute, piccolo, and mellophone and participated in the Marching Knights, Jammin' Knights (the basketball band), and UCF's Wind Ensemble and Concert Band. My music interests brought me to the fraternities of Kappa Kappa Psi and Sigma Alpha Iota. In Dallas, I have been a member of the Oak Lawn Band and the Dallas Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota.My ultimate dream is to produce something positive and inspiring that brings people together on the magnitude of Hayao Miyazaki or Walt Disney.
