Lattice Materials is a photonics company engaged in the business of manufacturing infrared optical components from silicon and germanium. As the Head of Marketing, I was responsible for ensuring the marketability of Lattice Materials' product and managing all traditional marketing activities. I also worked with our production and sales teams to maintain a minimum gross margin for our products. Finally, I championed growth initiatives which resulted in a marked increase in both sales and gross margins over a six+ year period. Selected Project Experience:• Managed gross margin improvement strategy, resulting in an increase in average gross margins of over 10% per year.• Planned, developed and launched two new websites over four years resulting in over 20% improvement in traffic from each, decreased bounce rate and an increase in RFQs.• Created several highly focused marketing campaigns which led to significant penetration of highly competitive market segments and opened many new accounts• Created new dozens of new strategic marketing communications materials – designed and wrote brochures, packaging inserts, product specification sheets, website content and white papers• Managed a large, complex process improvement project for the sales department that resulted in dramatic improvements in sales and customer service• Managed all trade shows from logistics to booth design and staffing during trade shows• Managed the writing and delivery of a grant proposal worth over $12 million (project pending)• Delivered marketing status reports, market intelligence and recommendations for the Board of Directors regularly

TEDxBozeman is Bozeman, Montana's annual independently organized TED event. Our first event in 2012, was the first TEDx event in Montana. As the co-founder and sponsorship committee chair of this event, it was my job to drive the strategic vision of the event, secure and onboard sponsors, support my committee's efforts, provide regular reports to the board and to provide leadership to the organization as a whole. TEDxBozeman is now the largest TEDx event in Montana and one of the largest annual events in Bozeman, drawing over 1% of the total area's population. TEDxBozeman was also one of only three TEDx events in the world to be recognized for its excellence by the TED organization in 2015. We have received many additional accolades including a feature article in WIRED magazine in December of 2012 (linked below). TEDxBozeman operates on a nearly $100,000 annual budget derived entirely through sponsorships and ticket sales. Our strictly volunteer team is world class in every sense and TEDxBozeman is a 501(c)3 non-profit entity.
