I am a senior finance executive with significant domestic and international experience who has worked in both transactional and operational roles including corporate strategy and development, corporate finance and treasury, and budgeting, reporting and forecasting. I have closed over $40B in M&A transactions, raised over $12B in debt capital and $1B of equity capital (including three IPOs). I led strategic planning at two Fortune 500 companies, led corporate development at two publicly-listed companies, and I have implemented cost-cutting initiatives that have collectively exceeded $600M. I have cut the time to closing in two companies, and I have led two SOX implementations.I have also worked as a senior investment officer for GIC, one of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds. While there, I invested in ventures, growth equity, leveraged buyout, and distressed debt funds, and I co-invested in a variety of companies including Esselte, Hynix Semiconductor. and MCI Communications. I also sat on the boards of these companies.More recently, I have been consulting in telecommunications and alternative energy. I worked on the early stages of strategic planning for FirstNet, the dedicated 4G telecommunications network for first responders authorized by Congress and overseen by the US Department of Commerce, I have also worked on a variety of biofuels and other synthetic fuels projects for US and non-US clients, assessing greenfield opportunities, negotiating licensing and joint venture agreements, and arranging financings.
