Prior, as SVP & Chief Human Resources Officer, Ken developed an award-winning culture at Hillrom (NYSE: HRC), once a hospital bed company and now a diversified medical technology leader acquired by Baxter in December 2021. Prior to Hillrom, Ken served seven years as CHRO at pharmaceutical giant Hospira, shepherding its $17 billion acquisition by Pfizer. Ken also served in senior executive positions in some of the most well-known and well-respected companies in their sectors including Starbucks, during its aggressive international growth expansion; Gymboree, in its hey-day as a leading children’s retailer; along with Disney and United Technologies earlier in his career. Ken has lived/worked in the US, the UK, France and South Africa. He has taught Management at UCLA and UC Berkeley. Ken earned a BS in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
