Kenneth R. Freeston Dr. Freeston has 50 years of experience as an educational leader and author.He has twice been named Educational Leader of the Year in Connecticut, first by the Connecticut Association of Curriculum and Supervision Development and subsequently by the Charles Neag School of Education at the University of Connecticut.His leadership at school superintendent level began in 1994 in the Connecticut towns of Easton and Redding. In 2003 he joined the Ridgefield, Connecticut schools as Superintendent. He joined the North Salem Central School District in New York in 2007 and retired in 2023.He has a national presence through his 20 years of membership in the prestigious Suburban Schools Superintendents Association and the Tri-State Consortium in the Northeast.An author of numerous articles on parenting, teaching and learning for the New York Times, Educational Week, Educational Leadership and the School and Administrator, he also co-authored a book about fatherhood called Welcome to Club Dad.Dr. Freeston is a Bachelors and Masters Graduate from Colgate University, and holds a PH.D. from the University of Connecticut in Organizational Behavior.
