Product Project Engineer
Current• Handled multiple projects from quotation phase to prototype phase to production release.• Leading end to end customer interactions in order to ensure quality product deliverables as per the field functionality of the product.• Efficient and continuous interactions with the involved suppliers to ensure that the product delivered meets the customer requirements and is within the cost budgets.• Responsible to ensure the final product quality.• Responsible to develop leak test fixtures and measuring fixtures to aid ease and repeatability of measurement.• Responsible for the approval of the mold design to ensure all the features are there to make a good quality product.• Responsible for overall project management including tracking of key milestones for each project, any budget/cost overruns and verifying the causes of the deviations from original project plan.• Performing root cause analysis for the identified deviations and having effective communications with the client and production team to mitigate the issues and worked as a single point of contact for the project.• Identifying the customer’s use of the end product and liasioning with the polymer chemist team to determine the additional materials to be used in the product i.e. to ensure that the product functions effectively in a customer’s defined environment.• Conducting adhesive chemical trials on plastic/metal substrate to check bonding strength for overmolding.• Performing stress strain tests on various materials to ensure that they match mechanical requirements for elastomer performance.• Responsible for conducting and documenting complete prototype run and iterations on prototype mold to make it 100% ready for release into production.• Responsible to conduct PPAP trial run for the product to be launched into production.• Responsible for clearing out all open action items for the prototype/production tool.
