The start of my career in software development business goes back to 1995 (yes, that's the year when the Hackers movie was filmed - and Angelina Jolie was only 20 at the time!) Over this lengthy, but for not a minute boring journey I enjoyed fulfilling a unique spectrum of roles. Having started with a legwork position of a junior software engineer, I progressed through the industry both vertically and horizontally, working at various periods on engineering, administrative, customer relations, and managerial positions, and on all stages of the software development life cycle. The unique experience I gained whilst performing my duties helped shape my view of the industry and synthesize the in-depth understanding of the processes that are moving it forward. During my career in SD, I have developed skills required to build the highest quality software solutions in timely and cost-effective manner.My career in software development goes hand-in-hand with my progress in the information security industry. Since 2002 I've been working with EldoS, a leading provider of software-based information security solutions. In parallel, I was doing academic research on security at the University of Kyiv, from which, back in 2010, I received my PhD.The matter of development of high-quality, stable and secure software, as well as information security and everything surrounding it, remain to be of my highest professional interest. Currently I lead the development of a number of knowledge-intensive software products, and provide expert guidance on data and network security. I have excellent understanding of security challenges that modern information systems and infrastructures are facing, and have a useful habit of 'thinking security'.
