I am continually amazed by the amount of awesome people out there doing meaningful work.For the past eighteen months I’ve been getting to know entrepreneurially-minded people from all over the world. They inspired me so much that I’ve been interviewing them and writing about them on the Ripple Maker blog. What they all have in common is an entrepreneurial mindset. What I mean by that is they are identifying problems worth solving for the greater good, and aren’t satisfied with the solutions currently available. They are passionate, creative, innovative, and willing to put themselves out there again and again in service to their cause.They are also, at times, quite lonely. (I know I am at times). Sometimes you just don’t feel like you fit in. Your ideas get you a lot of weird looks. Your dissatisfaction with the way things are and your deep seated need to DO something about it can make it hard to relate to your fellow humans.Entrepreneurial loneliness is a real thing. It’s amazing how alone we can feel in this connected world. The more I’ve talked with my new friends, the more passionate I’ve become about creating a space for us all to work and grow together. I want to amplify their signals and get the word out about them. I want to plug them in to people who will see them, appreciate them, and support them and their work.I feel that those of you out there who’ve chosen this way of living your life deserve a place where we can all practice, play and hang out with collaborators, clients, mentors and students in an integrated and uplifting way.If what I’m saying resonates with you, I’d love for you to join us.
