Besides working for clients, I am (have been) busy with the following tasks:- The development of a tool which calculates the CO2 emissions per car per route. In addition, the costs, calories and time are calculated for the use of a car, public transport and bicycle. Completely done with Angular. The information comes from, the RDW Api and the NS Api, CBS and other public APIs- Guiding and training young talent people. There are a number of juniors, who have just arrived at Ordina, and who have little to no experience with C# and other Microsoft techniques. I take them through the basic elements of the Microsoft techniques that we use at Ordina and which are often requested by Ordina's customers.

A relatively small contractor with great ambition. Via 4DotNet I worked at NKL Contact Lenses, where I spent most of the period. When I was not deployed, I was busy learning new techniques or obtaining certificates.

Emmen

As a producer of contact lenses, NKL has its own software for the measurement and ordering of the lenses. This program, called EasyFit, is being used in the Netherlands and in other countries.My tasks at NKL:- Integrating 2 year old changes from Japan in the current application- Adding new functionality to the application EasyFit Desktop- Creating and implemening Continuous integration and continuous deployment with TFS and Azure (not DevOps). Using ARM templates the complete environment is being set up and updated with each release.- Helped setting up a front-end for a new application. Created with Angular 6. The World

Traveling the world is not just a holiday for a longer period of time. In August 2016 we left the Netherlands and started travling of an unknown period of time. This means I have seen a lot, but also learned a lot. During this 1 1/2 year of traveling I maintained my knowlegde of software development and tried to keep up with developments- We kept a blog during our travels- I created a social media aggragator, using MVC with C# .NET 4.6. A Windows services was polling for new messages on several social media platforms and a website was showing the result, retrieved from an API.- Learning to host version 2 of the social media aggregator in Azure and using .NET Core 2.Techniques used:C#, Unity, Dependency Injection, MVC, windows service, .NET 4.6, unit testing, API’s, MEF, .NET Core 2

Working at one of the biggest consultancies, I was mostly working for customers on location. Think about Menzis (Groningen), SRC (Hoorn), GasUnie (Groningen), and Aegon (Leeuwarden). When I was not working for customers I was studying (MCSD) or discovering new techniques which I could use for new customers and make my self more attractive on the market. Besides that, I also gave a few presentations at the internal Microsoft competence meetings and a few at the practice meetings.

GasUnie is the only company in the Netherlands that is allowed to transports gas through the city. It does not get gas from the Earth, but only transports it.The software they use to control the flow is very outdated and very expensive: special keyboards are required to operate the system and are specially made by IBM for GasUnie and the training for the old system takes about 2 years. Time for a new system that meets new requirement and is ready for the future.The new software has the following requirements: Must run on Windows Server 2012, written in C# with WPF, and should be easily extended with new functionalities.My tasks at GasUnie:- Create technical designs based on the functional designs- Develop the product based on the technical design- Create unit tests and guard them- Extend the web service so the WPF product can use the outputUsed techniques:C# 4.0, WPF, Visual Studio 2015, SQL 2014, TFSUsed methods:Scrum, agile, OOP

SRC is a small company which is engaged in EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and has customers such as Ahold (Albert Heijn, etc.), Pepsi Cola, Henkel etcetera.SRC has created an application, called PDM, which controls communication between the customers and the EDI standards (GDSN, 1SYNC). Both standards operate with a mapping. In 2016 there is a new version and will be implemented in a new version of PDM. The current version is 5 and the new PDM will PDM 6. My tasks at SRC:- Migrating data from the old platform PDM 5 to the new PDM 6 with VB.NET that uses a XML mapping.- Creating a VB.NET application that generates documentation from PDM 6 XML data.- Creating a VB.NET application that reads information from an Excel file and converts this data so it can be used in the migration mapping.Used technics: VB.NET 4 en 4.5, Visual Studio 2015, SQL 2014, XML, Excel, TFSUsed methods: Scrum, agile, Object Oriented Programming (OOP)

Aegon is one of the larger insurers with various departments, including AVN (Aegon Van Nierop ) . This department manages a small part of the policies. This department will be shutdown eventually, but until then the people of Aegon still working with outdated technology. Most software runs on Windows Server 2003. As of July 1, 2015 the support for this OS stops, and Aegon will have to look for a new OS (Windows Server 2008 or 2012 ) . The problem is that the software they are using here will not work because they are primarily 16 -bit and communicate with a Btrieve database ; this will also slowely disappear from the Aegon landscape. My tasks at Aegon:- Migrate 20 VB6 applications to a new environment (Windows server 2012). Some applications needed to be changed internally.- Make each VB6 application communicate with SQL 2012 instead of BTrieve.- Migrate Excel-macro's and VBA to new techniques- Introduced TFS as a replacement for Visual SourceSafe.Used technics: VB.NET 3.5 en 4, Visual Studio 2013, SQL 2012, Visual Basic 6, Visual Studio 6, BTrieve, Pervasive PSQL, WinForms, TFSUsed methods: Scrum, agile, Object Oriented Programming (OOP)

Figlo BV engages in the field of financial planning for consumers and advisers. Besides banking insights Figlo also provides software in the field of mortgages, mortgage advisers that customers can quickly and easily help and advise with regard to mortgages. The financial world is constantly changing and there are new every day needs of the banks. These wishes I developed together with the team, the engine Figlo. Additionally Figlo has a system that allows banks to deal with financial data of customers. New pages can be created quickly and easily. These pages are created on the basis of so-called widgets. My tasks at Figlo:- Design technical designes from the wishes of the back office and build thoses wishes into the engine with C# 3.5- Helped create the widgetsystem for a big bank in the Netherlands. My roles where developer, software architect and front-end developer - Refactore Legacy code rto multiple layers; business-layer, object-layer, data-layer and an API-layer. Also created unittests.- Plan, create and implement the functionality "Savinggoals"Used technics: MVC3, C#3, jQuery 1.9, Visual Studio 2010 and 2012, SQL 2008 en 2012, HTML, TFS, CSS.Used methods: Scrum, agile, Object Oriented Programming (OOP).

Twice Services BV is part of the Twice Group. Twice is a learning center for ICT, on all kinds of experiences. Think about courses for .NET, Cisco, and Windows. Besides that, Twice also had a location on the "Mediapark" on Hilversum for courses for television entertainment.The team had 4 FTE, 3 developers, and one manager.My tasks:- Maintaining the different websites that promoted the courses given by Twice. We used VB.NET 2 with Anthem (Ajax-library for .NET)- Maintain S.E.O for the different websites.
