My primary role was to train QuarkXPress users in the use of Elateral’s own Mac software and Quark XTensions, usually on-site at customers’ design agencies. Firstly demonstrating by leading candidates through my own tutorial documents, then assisting them as they repeated the exercises. During a typical visit I would install and test the software and resolve any technical issues encountered. In total I personally trained over 100 users in over 50 agencies in 5 countries.

I ran a small pre-press studio within a printing firm. Creating artwork to clients’ requirements, or manipulating supplied files from agencies and customers’ own graphic departments. Controlling the movement of jobs through proofing and planning to output as CTP plates or film to coincide with the printing schedule. Liaising with sales executives, account handlers and the production manager to establish priorities and workflow.
