I am a compassionate and driven student majoring in Law and Public Policy with a minor in Criminal Justice at Indiana University’s O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs. My ultimate goal is to attend law school upon completing my undergraduate degree and pursue a career at the intersection of law, politics, and government. I am deeply committed to advocating for civil rights and criminal justice reform, ensuring that our legal and political systems serve all individuals fairly and justly.Throughout my academic journey, I have explored various facets of law and policy, taking courses such as U.S. Policy and Administration, Law and Social Science, Comparative and International Policy, and Human Rights and International Law. These classes have deepened my understanding of the complexities of governance, the importance of international legal frameworks, and the critical role of justice in society. I am particularly interested in how policy decisions impact marginalized communities and seek to influence positive change through law.Outside of the classroom, I have built a strong work ethic through my experience in retail and customer service. These experiences have sharpened my communication skills, teamwork abilities, and attention to detail, all of which I consider vital when navigating high-pressure environments.Additionally, my involvement with Zeta Tau Alpha has allowed me to enhance my leadership and event-planning skills. I have played an active role in organizing philanthropic events, helping to raise over $180,000 for breast cancer awareness, education, and research. Mentoring new members of my chapter has further strengthened my interpersonal and counseling skills, which I aim to apply in my future legal career.As I continue my studies and prepare for law school, I am eager to apply my knowledge of law and policy to real-world challenges, particularly in the areas of criminal justice reform and governmental relations. I am committed to using my voice and skills to advocate for equity and fairness in the legal system, ensuring a future where justice prevails for all.
