At one point in time I thought that I wanted to be a stay at home mom and raise kids. Simple, low key kind of life. Come to find out, I can not sit still and vacuuming is more of a hobbies than a chore for me. My poor father had three girls, in which we learned very quickly that a farm can’t run itself. From an early age I learned how to take care of animals, feed and doctor. Fix fence, drive tractors and put in a long days of work, just like boys. Hard work, I’ve know her for a while. When I was fifth-teen,my father decided that he wanted to build a processing plant from the ground up. Summer filled with swimming, snow cones and friends quickly turned into laying rebar, setting bricks, painting walls and staining floors. My sister and I became his first employees since we opened in the heart of covid. I became a queen of running the packaging room and working the labeling machine. This is where my love for operations and process really came to life. I grew up playing basketball and rodeoing, a multi-sport athlete. Being captain of the team, I found out how much I enjoy leadership and managing people. As I got older and opened up to internships, I realized real quick how much I hated remote work. Sitting in front of a computer all day and only seeing people on zoom. My skills with the computer and programs expanded tremendously, but myself didn’t. I realized that I had falling’ in love with process and organization and working with people face to face. After all, going up with only sisters your destined to need to work with people.
