Successfully applied ongoing tax law changes for my clients in my new firm. In addition, I had the opportunity to advise a large neighboring law firm who did business with my firm concerning legislation that, left unapplied, would have negatively affected many clients in that firm. That saved those clients literally millions of dollars in losses to them and tremendous liability to the law firm. Shortly thereafter, in June of 1988 I left to start my own CPA firm.

As a member of tax department of this firm I helped train staff on new and existing tax law, running pension filing adminstration for clients, traditional income tax planning and tax return preparation and all kinds of tax audits. While there, I was a member of the Long Island Association's tax policy committee, a select group of CPA's from the major firms . We discussed the effect of tax policy on the residents of Long Island, New York, which included meeting with Federal elected officials, advising them of the effect that proposed legislation would have on their constituents. I also served as a expert speaker at many conferences on various tax matters, often receiving high marks for my presentations.
