• Directed and managed Imageworks’ recruiting efforts in sourcing, attracting, assessing and hiring the talent needed to work on highly regarded films as The Amazing Spiderman, Hotel Transylvania and Oz: The Great and Powerful. • Strengthened Sony Imageworks’ stature as an Industry leader through “evangelizing” SPI’s achievements, initiatives and successes through presentations, presence at festivals and conferences, school visits and industry events• Led the Academic Relations program (IPAX) by building strong relationships with participating schools to nurture the next generations of digital talent. Academic Relations emphasizes training standards developed from real-world production issues and helps member schools better prepare their graduates for potential employment both at Imageworks and the industry at large. Key components of the Academic Relations program are the Internship program, Fellowships, Scholarships and on campus visits.

• Directed the staff and activities of more than 400 Computer Graphics artists including administrative staff and artist supervisors. These artists comprised five key artist groups: Technical Directors, Digital Artists, Compositors, Mattepainters, and Layout. • Responsibilities included artist skill assessment, building and maintaining flexibility in anticipating sudden business shifts, maintaining workforce balance between core talent, rehires and new hires, partnering with productions to ensure equitable distribution of talent between shows. • Responsible for overall department strategy, administration, business processes, personnel, - managing the capital and operating budgets, employee communication, performance reviews, contract negotiations, compensation issues and conflict resolution.

Director, Digital Animation, Creature Development & CG Commercials Departments Directed the staff and activities for more than 120 Computer Graphics artists including ten managers and supervisors. Responsible for overall department strategy, administration, business processes, personnel, - managing the capital and operating budgets, employee communication, performance reviews, contract negotiations, compensation issues and conflict resolution. In addition to the artist management responsibilities:• Directed the recruiting team in an extremely competitive recruiting environment and successfully met the staffing requirements for several large productions, including, StarWars: Episode 2, Mummy 2, The Hulk and Van Helsing. • Recognized the artistic and technically creative potential in artists. Reviewed, evaluated, and judged artists' portfolios and reels.• Implemented ILM's Diversity Recruiting initiative through developing relationships with key colleges and universities that have a diverse student body. Industrial Light & MagicDigital Technologies Development Manager (1994 – 1995) • Managed the operating and capital budgets for the entire 300 person Computer Graphics Department during the period of explosive growth including the purchase and installation of new digital hardware and software; and overseeing the construction and space renovation of available work areas to house new CG artists. • Ensured that the plan was executed within budgets and schedules and that it satisfied the established production and technology goals.

• Responsible for creating a graphics, animation and computer graphics production capability. Managed internal creative staff, freelance artists and production personnel in all aspects of the production process, from show opens for broadcast clients, commercials, animation segments, and motion graphics for corporate and government productions.• Built a one-stop creative resource providing concept and design, storyboards, animation production and post production services involving digital compositing of live action, motion control and computer graphics.
