The HMI contains 270 Input/Output points that I was required to implement and debug. I worked on-site with the customers and independently off-site. HMI utilizes National Instruments Lookout on a PC Server/Client platform and interfaces with an Automation Direct Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). Using the 'C' programming language, I am developing a data acquisition system to take periodic electric and gas meter readings, then archive readings to a file and eventually a MySQL database. The meters communicate via pulses, MODBUS TCP and RS485 protocols. The processors are Technologic Systems TS-7500 ARM9 embedded processors running Linux 2.6. Project currently on-hold due to funding issues.
