For the past two decades, I have supported government contract work for space-related imaging systems. As a Software Developer, I have designed, implemented, maintained and tested several image processing applications for multiple programs sponsored by Eastman Kodak Commercial and Government Systems, ITT Space Systems Division, Excelis Inc., and L3Harris Technologies, (acquired, and merged over two decades). I have held TS DOD Clearances for the entire time through my career. For the past 5 years, I have been an Integrated Team Lead and first level manager serving a cloud-based image processing program. I have also been a Senior Test Engineer recently for the same program. My last 7 years have been an experience in full-stack developement using Agile in a DevOps, CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Development environment. I have used Jenkins to automate several aspects of my prior manual tasks. I utilized ROS (Robot Operating System) to implement a nightly test and reporting environment for my most recent program. I have enjoyed several opportunities to have team collaboration and client interaction on cross-functional teams comprised of other contractors supporting these programs.In prior tasks, I have had the chance to implement several image processing algorithms to exploit information from satellite imagery. Taking an Algorithm Description Document and working with Image Scientists to decompose and implement these algorithms into production modules is one of the things I most enjoy.I have recently had the chance to mentor newly hired college graduates, helping them through their first assignments, and bringing them onto real program work once they receive their government clearances.
