I perform numerous assays (such as ddPCR, TCID50, Endotoxin, etc.) on both client and internal samples to ensure safety, quality, and identity of AAV drug products. In Dr. Skardal's Biofabrication lab, I isolate RNA and perform RT-qPCR to study astrocyte behavior in glioblastoma. In addition, I help with the culture and passaging of plates of astrocytes, pericytes, endothelial cells, and cancer cells. I also make microfluidic devices and seed these with the aforementioned cells to study blood brain barrier function.
