Kennedy Maithya is the Hospitality Lecturer and Catering Manager, at Mahanaim College. He is also the HOD of the Hospitality department. He holds an M.Sc.. in Hospitality Management and a B.Sc. (First Class Hons) from Maseno University, Kenya. Furthermore, he has previously worked as an assistant restaurant manager and restaurant manager in restaurants in Kenya as well as operations Manager at Stansun Ventures. He has also been an active consultant offering hospitality consultancy in a variety of organizations. He is also a research enthusiast and has published and is still publishing several peer-reviewed articles on hospitality management and digitalization in international journalsOver the years, Kennedy has gained experience as a hospitality management consultant and a training facilitator. He also has gained exemplary skills in leadership and management, customer service, Financial management, Problem-Solving, and decision-making, and hospitality research. He possesses an extensive experience in the hospitality industry in areas of food and beverage, housekeeping, Laundry, and Front office. In Research and Training, he is an active researcher in hospitality management, Non-profit management, Management Accounting, Qualitative, Quantitative, and Mixed Methods research designs, Qualitative and Quantitative data analysis, and Training facilitationKennedy has over the years received recognition for his exemplary achievement. In the industry, he received a promotion recommendation from the assistant restaurant manager to the restaurant manager and has since been an important consultant for the establishment. In his current position, he has received several awards such as the best lecturer and best staff and led the department to be awarded the best teamwork award.
